At home with the old.

(Note: Again, this entry has been pre-written and posted automatically. By divine grace and great flight maneuvers of Qatar Airways and Philippine Airlines’ pilots, I have safely arrived after more than 24 hours flight from Barcelona, my host city to Cagayan de Oro, my home city.)
Cagayan de Oro – A highlight of my short stay in Budapest, Hungary was the celebration of their National Heroes’ Day at the city’s major square. The event took place infront of Grand Prince Arpad’s statue. Arpad was the Magyar leader whom sources name as the single leader who unified the Magyar tribes via the Covenant of Blood forged one nation, thereafter known as Hungary. The country has a very long history that the event on this summer day took a very long time to finish. A long history meant a long list of heroes to honor that would probably last more than 24 hours. One sad thing though was the absence of the Hungarians. There were only old people who came to watch colorful public performance. Culture never goes out of style. It only strengthens itself overtime.
